So what did you do at the weekend? Did you see your friends, catch a movie, maybe even go back to your families; well it was Fathers Day after all. What did I do? Oh nothing much really, I only went and created my own effin website!! Oh yes my friends, you are reading this correctly. In fact this very website that you’re looking at right now was born this weekend from my own blood, sweat and tears.
Ok, I admit there were times when I wanted to throw my laptop out of the window, smash it against a wall and smear oil all over its dirty, shitty keypad, but I didn’t. I stuck with it, worked through the CSS and html pain and finally I can now sit back, admire my own work and just for a fleeting moment, feel proud to be alive.
Why didn’t I get someone to do it for me, I hear you cry from a distant land? Well my friends, for those of you who don’t know me, I happen to be an imperfectionist on the road to recovery and until I reach the end of that road, I would much rather do some things myself. Call me picky and you would be absolutely correct.
So wherever you are and whatever you’re doing right now, I want you to know that without your love, support and regular meals, I could not have done this without you. For that my friends, I raise a glass to us all and to our new, sparkly and pretty shit hot (in my opinion) emergise and secret diary of a good girl website.
